The Euroleague has announced that, like last season, 28 referees have been assigned to the 2025 playoffs. 

This continues a trend begun in 2024 of spreading out playoff opportunities among a greater number of referees as opposed to using a significantly smaller but, one might argue, an overall superior group, as was the case in previous years.  

This year's playoff list includes three first-timers and one referee who returns to the list after a several-year absence.  

Some of the nominations for Game 1 of the quarter-finals are also curious, to say the least, and relate to issues raised during last year's playoffs by BasketNews.
