Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. blamed himself for a "stupid play" late in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers — a costly turnover that helped LA steal a 105-102 win and grab home-court advantage in their first-round series.

However, team leader Nikola Jokic, who finished with a 26-12-10 triple-double, quickly came to his defense, saying that every player could have done something differently and executed small details better to change the outcome.

"I mean, we can all say that," Jokic said in the post-game conference. "CB [Christian Braun] can blame himself for missing. I can blame myself for a turnover. We can all blame ourselves. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but he [MPJ] probably cares, and that's a good thing."

With just over 90 seconds remaining and the game tied at 100, Porter Jr. grabbed a key rebound off a Kawhi Leonard miss. As he tried to make an outlet pass up the floor, the ball slipped out of his hands and dropped just a few feet away.

He and Clippers guard Kris Dunn dove for the loose ball, with Dunn landing hard on Porter's shoulder.

While Porter laid on the court in pain, the Clippers took advantage of the situation, finding Norman Powell open for a go-ahead three-pointer. Powell gave Los Angeles a 103-100 lead.

The series is now tied 1-1 as it shifts to Los Angeles.
