The Los Angeles Lakers have exercised their $1.9M team option for Wenyen Gabriel and their $2.4M team option for Stanley Johnson, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Lakers forward Johnson has played for six seasons in the NBA. He was selected number 8 overall in the 2015 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons.
Last season with the Lakers Johnson averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
South Sudanese-American Wenyen Gabriel has been shifting between the G League and the NBA so far in his 3-year professional career.
Gabriel is an undrafted power forward, who started his NBA career in 2018 with the Sacramento Kings. Last season Gabriel has played for the Los Angeles Clippers until he got traded to the Lakers. Gabriel last season averaged 5.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
