Mo Bamba has been evaluated by Los Angeles Lakers team doctors and has been diagnosed with a high left ankle sprain, per the official report.
Lakers also say that the player will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks.
Bamba suffered an ankle injury vs. the Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers acquired the 24-year-old center from the Orlando Magic at the trade deadline for Patrick Beverly and a second-round pick.
Since he was added by Los Angeles, Bamba has appeared in just seven games, averaging 4.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
The Purple & Gold are still missing LeBron James due to a right foot injury.
