At one point of the season, the Detroit Pistons were a laughingstock of the NBA. They can now be sure they won't be the worst team in league history.

The Pistons registered a 28-game losing streak during the 2023-24 NBA season, setting a new NBA single-season record. Discussions were going on about whether they were the worst team in league history. Now, this discussion might be over.

With the win against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, the Pistons now have 9 wins in their account. Even if they lose all remaining games, their record will not be the worst in league history.

Even if the Pistons finish with a record of 9-73, their win percentage will be 10.9%. The 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats had the worst winning percentage in league history with 10.6% (7-59, lockout season).

Humorously, the Pistons started the season with two wins in their first three games. After winning just one game in the months of November and December, the Pistons have won three games in both January and February.

The Pistons' awful season has even sparked a social media account where a person is betting on them to win. What started as a joke the account now has hundreds of thousands of followers and has even attracted sponsorships.
