Damian Lillard is set to return for the Milwaukee Bucks in their first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, after missing 12 games due to deep vein thrombosis. Lillard expressed his readiness to play, saying, "The moment I feel I can go, I’m a go."
Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard is officially back just in time for the playoffs, and he made it clear, once he felt ready, he wasn’t going to wait.
"The moment that I feel good about it, I'm not going to be all waiting, and all of that," Lillard said. "The moment I feel I can go, Imma a go. That's what I can tell you."
After being sidelined for 12 straight games due to a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), Lillard is set to take the floor again as the Bucks prepare to face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs.
Before the official announcement, head coach Doc Rivers gave an optimistic update on Lillard’s progress.
"Everything is still progressing positively. Last test was fantastic. So, you know, that's about all I have. Fingers crossed," Rivers said, per Jim Owczarski.
In 58 games this season, Lillard averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals.
