Despite having to win a play-in game to secure a playoff spot, the Golden State Warriors found themselves with a favorable first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets, a team with little postseason experience. The Warriors took advantage, securing a dominant 95-85 victory in Game 1 of the series.

The win was particularly special for Golden State’s head coach, Steve Kerr, as it marked his 100th career playoff win.

With this victory, Kerr tied legendary coach Larry Brown for sixth place on the NBA’s all-time list for playoff wins. Kerr's career playoff record now stands at an impressive 100-41.

Among active coaches, only Erik Spoelstra, Doc Rivers, and Gregg Popovich have more playoff wins.

Kerr’s success in the postseason is well-documented, as he’s led the Warriors to four NBA Championships.

They'll face off in Game 2 on April 24, looking to build on their momentum and take a commanding 2-0 series lead.
